Ken, that was the installer - I wasn't trying to open a PDF/PS

Ah, then I misunderstood. I seem to recall that there was some change in
OpenSSL, and I bet that its incompatible, so this may mean you need an older
version or can't use GSView as it stands.

I'll have to leave it to Michael to comment.
