Bug ID: 695159
Summary: support annotation borders
Product: MuPDF
Version: master
Hardware: PC
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P4
Component: mupdf
Assignee: mupdf-***@artifex.com
Reporter: ***@pragmata.tk
QA Contact: gs-***@ghostscript.com
Classification: Unclassified
Word Size: ---

The attached file shows annotation links with gray borders.

It would be great that mupdf could display them. SumatraPDF already displays
it.

BTW, these borders shouldn't be printed, unless the user explicitly requests
this.

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

--- Comment #1 from Ray Johnston <***@artifex.com> ---
The submitter didn't attach a file, but I noticed when using gsview that the
first page of gs/examples/annots.pdf is missing all borders

Created attachment 11606

PDF with link border

The bug is still present in mupdf-1.7.

I attach a PDF containing a link with a gray border.

--- Comment #3 from Pablo Rodríguez <***@pragmata.tk> ---
The annotation border from the sample reads:

<< /Subtype /Link /A 13 0 R /Rect [36.264 34.962 202.5 49.39]
/C [0.6 0.6 0.6] /F 4 /Border [0 0 0.5]>>

/C in annotation dictionaries refers to colors (page 384 from the PDF
Specification version 1.7
[https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/pdf/pdfs/PDF32000_2008.pdf#page=384]).

/F contains the annotation flag (whose values are explained on page 385 from
the PDF specification
[https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/pdf/pdfs/PDF32000_2008.pdf#page=385]).

/Border contains how the border should be drawn (values explained on page 384
[https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/pdf/pdfs/PDF32000_2008.pdf#page=384]).

Just in case it might help,

Pablo
